Various talks introducing new books and workshops on current cultural, political, and historical issues explored in books are expected. Copyright transactions; exchanges between writers, publishers, and readers; and games for children will be the key activities.
The opening ceremony will be organized in the morning on August 22 at the main entrance of the park on Trần Nhân Tông Street.
According to the Ministry of Information and Communications, which hosts the fair, the event aims to nurture a passion for reading and the habit of book-buying books and to enhance the relationship between readers and writers.
The fair also aims to promote book publishing and trading as well as to connect publishers and communications units in order to publish books that meet the demands of readers.
