US leaves open possibility of June 12 summit with North Korea
VTV.vn - US President Donald Trump said on Friday that the United States is talking to North Korea and his planned meeting with the country's top leader Kim Jong Un could still happen, after he canceled it on Thursday.
Speaking to the media at the White House, Trump said his meeting with Kim "could even be the 12th (of June)," adding that both North Korea and the United States want the meeting to happen.
US President said Washington and Pyongyang are maintaining contact and that both sides "very much" want to meet. The canceled meeting had been slated to take place on June 12 in Singapore.
