This was the message that the Minister of Planning and Investment delivered to US enterprises at an event to promote US investment in Vietnam in Washington DC on Wednesday.
The Nguyễn Chí Dũng stressed three main actions Vietnam is taking to attract investment, especially from the US. Firstly, promoting mergers and acquisitions as well as the equitisation of large state-owned enterprises. Secondly, encouraging SMEs, start-ups and public-private partnerships. Thirdly, stepping up efforts in administrative reform.
There are currently 820 US-invested projects in Vietnam with a total capital of 11 billion USD. The US is ranked 8th among countries and territories investing in Vietnam./.
