US President Donald Trump also announced that he would sign the legislation to temporarily end the longest-ever partial shutdown of the US government. The path included signing a stopgap funding measure that would fund the government through February 15. The bill will also ensure benefits for about 800,000 federal employees who had to leave their jobs or go to work without pay for more than a month. The bill is considered as a concession from President Trump and the White House to the Democrats, as it doesn't include money to build a US-Mexican border wall.
