Tropical depression to strengthen into typhoon

On Sunday afternoon, the tropical depression was located about 220km south of the Paracel archipelago, with winds reaching level 6-7 and gale force at level 9. It is expected to move north and strengthen into a storm. The eye of the storm is expected to reach the Paracel islands this afternoon, with winds reaching level 8. According to forecasts, in the next 24 to 48 hours, the storm will continue to strengthen in the same direction. The East Sea will likely experience thunderstorms, with level 6-8 winds and gale force at level 10. Ships are adviced to be on the lookout for strong winds and tornadoes.
