The ceremony is the main ritual of the Tran temple festival, which takes places annually on the 14th night of the first lunar month. Each year, people flock to the ceremony to pray for good luck and happiness.
The procession started at the Thien Truong temple, where 14 kings of the Tran dynasty are worshipped. The seals will be distributed to the public from 5.30 am until they run out of stock. Mandarins take out the seals in hope of good luck and happiness. More than 2000 police officers are deployed to the festival to ensure safety for the participants.
