Training on religion and law opened in Hanoi

This course is marks collaboration between the university and US-based Brigham Young University and Institute for Global Engagement. This is the fourth time the course has been held in Vietnam.

The approach, research methodology and practical relationship between religion and rule of law. International experience in resolving disputes. The results of applying Vietnam and the policies of other countries on religion. These are some of the topics to be covered in lessons with international experts to over 70 students attending the course on religion and rule of law.

These students are government officials, university researchers working on religious affairs and religious studies as well as representatives from religions in Vietnam. The Draft Law on Belief and Religion which was discussed by NA members back in August will also analysed during this course. This will help students in contributing to the law’s drafting and its implementation.

Co-operation like this will have great results. Some 50 to 60 participants have attended each course. They can improve their knowledge and learn new research methodologies and experience. They’ll apply the knowledge into their work.

The course lasts from Sept. 14th to 23^rd at the University of Social Science and Humanities in Hanoi. After the 10-day course, students will be granted a certificate on the topic.
