Deputy Prime Minister Vương Đình Huệ stressed this at an online conference on implementing the tasks of the finance sector in the second half of this year, which took place on Friday in Hanoi.
According to the General Department of Customs, there have been a number of trade fraud cases wherein products were being labeled as made-in-Vietnam in order to benefit from preferential export tariffs.
As a result, Deputy Prime Minister Vương Đình Huệ has asked the Ministry of Finance to assign customs agencies to increase the monitoring of this issue and apply stricter punishments on violations.
