Trade deficit with Thailand increase 1

VTV.vn - Trade deficit with Thailand in recent times has followed an upward trend and is expected to continue increasing, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Vietnam's export turnover to Thailand in the first 8 months of 2017 was approximately 3.07 billion USD, according to statistics from the Ministry of Industry and Trade. Meanwhile, imports from Thailand into Vietnam hit 6.57 billion USD. This resulted in a trade deficit with Thailand of 3.5 billion USD, an increase of 16% compared to the same period last year.

The 5 types of goods that Vietnam imported the most from Thailand during this period included electrical household appliances, fruits, automobiles, petroleum, and material plastic.
