Tra fish may face higher US import taxes
VTV.vn - The United States Court of International Trade has chosen Indonesia as the surrogate country to calculate anti-dumping margins on Vietnam's frozen basa and tra fish fillet exports.

This was the result of USDepartment of Commerce 9th review. The rate apply to shipments of basa and tra fish frozen imports from Vietnam for the period 2011-2012. Vietnam will have to face a higher anti-dumping tax rate. It has been pointed out that Indonesia's economy is more developed than Vietnam's, and therefore, the way Indonesian businesses raise and process fish is different. Therefore, this US decision will has negatively affect Vietnam's tra fish industry.
