Over 500 preferentially priced tours and thousands of discounted flight tickets were offered during the festival, which included a program selling 1000 flights at 99,000 VND. In 2014, Hanoi ranked 2nd of the 25 best value tourism destinations in Asia. However, the number of tourists to the city has decreased over the past 9 months. The festival is expected to boost tourism growth in Hanoi and Vietnam at large by triggering demand from domestic and foreign tourists.
