Up to now, the first round of the VTV Awards is in the final stage. According to the latest announcement from the Organizing Board, the timing change of the voting system is as follows:
+ Round 1: Voting from March 31st, 2020 to 23:59 pm on August 22, 2020
+ Round 2 (top 5 in each category): voting from 8:00 am on August 25, 2020 to 7:00 pm on September 5, 2020.
Thus, with just over 10 days left, this first round of voting will end, meaning that the top five of each of the ten categories will be revealed. The remaining time will definitely be a very dramatic and attractive race among the nominees in each category.
The program still maintains 10 nomination categories, including:
1. Impressive host
2. Impressive singer
3. Impressive actor
4. Impressive actress
5. Impressive TV series
6. Impressive documentary film
7. Character of the year
8. Impressive news images
9. Impressive Culture - Social Science - Education Program
10. Program of the year

This year, the theme of VTV Awards is the 50-year Mark, towards the 50th anniversary of the first broadcast day of Vietnam Television (September 7, 1970 - September 7, 2020).
To vote for the nominees, the audience can vote in two ways:
- Via SMS: Text the nomination code to 8069 (1,000 VND / message). Subscriber are allowed to send unlimited number of messages.
- Directly on the website: by clicking on the vote icon in the information box of each candidate in the website.
