Timed film contest to expose talent

VTV.vn - The 48 Hour Film Project has been a popular competition for film lovers for many years in Vietnam.

The event has recently made a come back after a three-year absence, and has attracted 120 filming teams, including both professional and amateur film makers. Participating teams received their topics on June 9th, and have submitted their short films, which were done within 48 hours. US director and new Vietnam resident Jordan Vogt-Roberts was one of three judges. Winners of the competition will represent Vietnam at the world's 48 Hour Film Project in Los Angeles, the United States. A number of the most impressive films will be shown at the Cannes Film Festival. The competition this year takes place in both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
