The first German style Christmas market opens in Hanoi
VTV.vn - The first German Christmas Market in Hanoi kicked off on Thursday at Cửa Bắc church.

With a variety of German specialties like German handicrafts, German sausages, German beer, and traditional stollen bread, the festive spirit of western Christmas has been brought to Hanoi.

Visitors will have a chance to experience Christmas with all their senses, purchase special hand-made items and spend memorable moments with friends and family over a cup of hot wine.

The highlight of the Christmas Market will be Christmas Concert performed by the Suc Song Moi Bambus Ensemble, which features classical music and international Christmas favorites to sing along to. The concert will be held at the market at 6pm on December 14, 2017.

The market has been organised by the German Embassy in Vietnam, ACM Hanoi, Goethe Institute and a number of other German partners, to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Goethe-Institut's presence in Vietnam. The market will be open until Saturday, and will welcome visitors with music, candlelight, and the aroma of hot wine, helping guests get in a festive mood for the holidays.
