Thanh Ha lychees launched on e-commerce floor

VTV.vn - Thanh Ha lychees originated from Thanh Ha district, Hai Duong province were official launched on e-commerce floor Lazada on May 14.

The event was supported by the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (Vietrade) under the Ministry of Industry and Trade in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Department of Industry and Trade of Hai Duong province, Rong Do (Red Dragon) Production - Trading - Service Co., Ltd and the e-commerce platform Lazada Vietnam.

A representative of Vietrade said that since the beginning of April, Vietrade have worked and supported e-commerce platforms to connect with production units in Hai Duong province and purchasing enterprises. Accordingly, Lazada is the first platform to officially put the Thanh Ha lychee on its e-commerce platform.

James Dong, General Director of Lazada Vietnam, emphasised that Lazada's top goal is to accompany and support local businesses and sellers teo do e-commerce business effectively. Therefore, Lazada has cooperated with Vietrade to jointly promote and sell the Thanh Ha lychees of Hai Duong province on their platform.

Accordingly, Lazada plans to distribute Thanh Ha lychees with fast delivery in four hours to consumers in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to ensure maximum freshness, retaining the typical flavour of the specialty.

Thanh Ha lychees are sold in "Hai Duong Provincial Pavilion within the framework of the National Trade Promotion Programme" on the Lazada platform with preferential prices and attractive delivery support policies.

According to Vu Ba Phu, Director of Vietrade, putting agricultural products on the e-commerce platform aims to connect supply chains and ensure the logistics system meets e-commerce requirements.

Moreover, putting agricultural products on the e-commerce platform also creates a sustainable distribution channel for local products with good potential. In addition, the activity will contribute to improving the digital transformation capacity of production and business organisations and businesses, and especially encourage the spirit of “Vietnamese people prioritise Vietnamese goods”.

Notably, in an effort to put Thanh Ha lychee products and some other typical products of Hai Duong on the e-commerce platform, Vietrade will support with technical advice and guidance on input data and labels for products.
