The West Lake Flower Market is now packed with peach blossoms and kumquat trees. Retailers have revealed that prices will increase 15-30% compared to last year due to unfavourable weather conditions.
The number of visitors has only started to pick up and is expected to peak from Dec 25th onwards.
This is the first year in operation for Tu Lien Kumquat Market. The attraction has stirred great interest from visitors. The products there are smaller, neater and better trimmed than traditional kumquat trees.
These boutique trees are growing more and more popular among consumers and take at least 2 years of intensive care.
