Testing process hinder energy labelling
VTV.vn - Certain products have been required to carry energy rating labels before they can be sold, according to regulations from the General Directorate of Energy under the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

This provides consumers with information about the product's level of energy efficiency to enable consumers to compare products and make informed purchases. However, obstacles for businesses in energy testing poses another question. Firms are still facing difficulties due to a complicated label registration process, slow goods clearance and poor capability in label certification.

Government's Resolution 19 sets to reduce the specific check rate of imported consignments to 15% by the end of this year. Meanwhile, current regulations from General Department of Energy require energy tests for 100% of imported consignments. This has added more time to customs clearance procedures and hindered business competitiveness.
