Under the chair of Most Venerable Thich Thanh Nhieu, the opening ceremony took place with the ritual of incense offering to pray for peace for the country, good weather and a bumper harvest.
During the festival, there will be a wide range of activities, including a firework show, folk games, art performances and exhibitions of traditional handicrafts.
According to Ha Nam Chairman Truong Quoc Huy, the Tam Chuc Temple Festival will help promote the images of the people and land of Ha Nam to domestic and foreign visitors.
He added that with high-quality infrastructure and services, Tam Chuc is now an attractive destination to visitors and has played a pivotal role in boosting Ha Nam’s tourism sector.
At the event, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan presented the World Travel Awards Cup to Ha Nam as the World’s Leading Regional Cultural Destination in 2023.
