VTV.vn - The Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics (HCMA) has conferred an insignia for the cause of political theory education – its highest honour – upon Swedish Ambassador to Vietnam Ann Måwe, accrediting her practical contributions to the academy's operation and development.

Presenting the insignia to the diplomat at a ceremony in Hanoi on June 21, HCMA Permanent Vice President Assoc. Prof., Dr Nguyen Duy Bac noted that the growth of the Vietnam – Sweden cooperation includes the partnership between the academy and Swedish partners. He praised the ambassador's key contributions and strong support for an open economy, innovation, and sustainable growth in Vietnam.

Måwe initiated the "Pioneer the Possible" programme, fostering collaboration between Swedish and Vietnamese entities. This programme has facilitated technology transfer and the implementation of green, sustainable solutions in various sectors, such as smart cities, renewable energy, and green transition. Additionally, she has been a dedicated cultural ambassador in enhancing exchanges between the two countries.

The ambassador has also played a pivotal role in promoting academic and policy dialogue exchanges between Vietnamese experts and scientists, including those from the HCMA, with Sweden and other Nordic partners. A notable example is the annual Nordic seminar, which has been held in collaboration with Denmark, Finland, and Norway throughout her tenure. Furthermore, she has actively worked to strengthen connections between the academy and Swedish government agencies and policy research institutes.

Expressing her honour and appreciation for the recognition, Måwe affirmed that, regardless of her future positions after returning to Sweden, she will continue to contribute positively to the development of the countries’ friendship and cooperation.
