In line with this plan, on Thursday, the city organized an event to provide information regarding this new addition to the city's public transport system.
In attendance were representatives from companies and businesses in the city that cater to public transport. The attendees were trained in basic steps to support the disabled in accessing buses. Measures include lowering the entrance way to the bus, supporting the disabled in getting on when needed, and securing breaks to ensure safe transportation of wheelchairs, among others.
