“Summer in closed eyes” is the first film of female director Cao Thùy Nhi. The movie is about one person's quest to find their father and a love story. The film was mainly shot in Japan. The movie made its debut in Japan in April before premiering in Vietnam at the end of May.
The fifth Hanoi International Film festival, with the theme “Cinema-Integration and sustainable development”, puts the spotlight on 40 short films and 12 feature films from different countries and territories.
Summer in closed eyes is the journey of the girl named Ha (Summer), played by actor Phuong Anh Dao, the story begins when Xia is coming to the town of Higashikawa, Hokkaido, Japan to find his father ( artist Cong Ninh undertakes). It’s a new direction – exploring the snow-capped region in summer, where her father lived for a long time and here she met the Japanese guy – Akira (played by Takafumi Akutsu)
