Each combat team quickly deployed their formations, practicing tactical exercises under simulated conditions closely resembling real combat. Crawling, maneuvering, and target acquisition movements were performed skillfully and accurately.
The atmosphere of training was serious and intense, reflecting the determination of officers and soldiers right from the beginning of the training season. From physical exercises and marching with heavy loads to tactical training and coordination, everything was organized systematically and scientifically .
According to Colonel Le Huy Nghia, Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of the City Military Command, in 2026, the city's armed forces will continue to implement many solutions to improve the quality of training.
"We are focusing on innovating the content and methods of training; strengthening high-intensity training such as long-distance marches, night training, and mobile training in all conditions. Through this, we are gradually improving the overall quality and combat strength of the city's armed forces. At the same time, we are linking training with building a regular armed force, instilling discipline; improving the ability to coordinate combat operations, mastering weapons and equipment, and meeting the requirements of the mission in the new situation," said Colonel Le Huy Nghia.
At the recent 2026 training commencement ceremony, Major General Hoang Duy Chien, Deputy Commander of Military Region 4, emphasized: To successfully complete the training tasks, Party committees and commanders at all levels in the city's armed forces need to thoroughly understand the Party's viewpoints and policies, and the State's laws and regulations on local defense and military tasks; build a team of officers and soldiers with strong political resolve, high determination, and readiness to accept and successfully complete all assigned tasks.
Major General Hoang Duy Chien also requested that units continue to innovate and improve the quality of training in a specialized and solid manner; organize training scientifically and realistically, emphasizing synchronized training and night training; focus on training and developing officers; and conduct training closely aligned with the mission, target, and operational area. Along with this, agencies and units need to quickly stabilize organization and personnel, implement training according to plan; strengthen troop management, especially for new recruits; ensure adequate training facilities and equipment; and pay attention to the training and development of officers directly involved in training. At the end of training, it is essential to ensure that troops have a firm grasp of the basic political and military content, and especially to ensure absolute safety of personnel and weapons and equipment.

Leaving the central training ground, we followed the officers and soldiers to a field training area. Amidst the hilly terrain, mobile combat teams climbed slopes and traversed forests, practicing tactical exercises under challenging conditions. Lieutenant Colonel Le Van Trung, Commander of the Area 3 Defense Command - A Luoi, said that the unit always prioritizes training that is closely aligned with the characteristics of the area. "We focus on training to improve mobility and combat skills in mountainous and forested terrain; we strengthen field training, night training, and training in complex weather conditions. This helps our troops improve their adaptability and effectively handle potential situations," Lieutenant Colonel Le Van Trung shared.
In addition to training regular troops, the unit also coordinates the training of militia and reserve forces, contributing to building an increasingly solid national defense posture.
At another training ground, the roar of combat vehicle engines echoed loudly. Armored vehicles maneuvered over obstacles, practicing coordinated combat exercises. Lieutenant Colonel Le Dinh Hai, Battalion Commander of the Armored Battalion, stated that the unit focused on training to master weapons and technical equipment and improve coordination capabilities.
"We organize training from basic to advanced levels, closely combining theory and practice; focusing on honing vehicle control skills and coordination between forces. This helps officers and soldiers become proficient in using equipment and ready to fight in any situation," said Lieutenant Colonel Le Dinh Hai.
Leaving the training ground while the training session was still ongoing, the commands, the engines, and the rhythmic marching could still be heard.
