During his two-day visit, the Deputy PM met with Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico on September 21, during which Prime Minister Fico said Slovakia supported the development of EU - Vietnam ties, including the signing and ratification of the EU Vietnam Free Trade Agreement.
He also hailed the contributions of the Vietnamese community in Slovakia and said Slovakia will create the best conditions for Vietnamese living and working in Slovakia. The Vietnamese deputy prime minister said the country attached great importance to relations with traditional friends, including Slovakia. Prior to the meeting, the Deputy PM met with heads of Slovakia's leading groups, and the staff of the Vietnamese embassy.
