State President receives Japanese agriculture minister

President Sang expressed his gratitude towards the Japanese government for providing vessels to the Vietnam Fisheries Resources Surveillance Force and hoped the agricultural co-operation between the two countries would become a role model in ASEAN.

He also urged prompt implementation of a co-operative agreement between the two countries’ ministries of agriculture. The Japanese minister said the two parties will discuss medium and long-term visions for agricultural co-operation. He also briefed President Sang that in September Japan will start to export apples to Vietnam and is considering importing Vietnamese mangoes.
