Alejandro Castro Espin, the Special Envoy of Cuban President Raul Castro, has conveyed to President Truong Tan Sang an invitation to visit Cuba to discuss orientations and measures to enhance the efficiency of bilateral ties with the island country’s leaders.
President Sang hosted a reception for the Special Envoy in Hanoi yesterday (Tuesday), where he took the occasion to underline the determination of the Communist Party of Vietnam, state and people to further strengthen the close ties between the two nations. The state leader expressed his joy of the growth of Vietnam-Cuba relations in recent times, saying that the two sides should enhance their links in trade, investment, science and technology, culture, and education and training. Special envoy Espin, who is on a working visit to Vietnam until July 3rd, said his visit was aimed at deepening the special solidarity and partnership between the two parties, states and people. During the visit, the Cuban delegation has worked with the ministries of Foreign Affairs, Defence, Public Security and the party commission for popularisation and education.
