During his trip to Mozambique, the State President affirmed that Vietnam will strive to be one of the most prominent investors in the African country.
The statement was made at a recent business forum attended by both Vietnamese and Mozambican top leaders in the Mozambican capital of Maputo.
Mozambique and Vietnam have witnessed fruitful economic relations, adding that two Vietnamese companies, Viettel and Hapro, have been channeling their investment into the nation with a combined capital of $500 million.
The business forum was a great opportunity for Vietnamese and Mozambican enterprises to meet and exchange information, according to President Nyusi.
He stated that Mozambique expects investment from Vietnam in energy, agriculture, pharmacy, maritime economy, and others.
At the event, several Vietnamese businesses also introduced their products to the Mozambican partners, including rice, cement, and garment products. This signals potential trade connections between the two sides in the near future with support from the two Governments.
