The event gathers forty-seven art works by fifteen comtemporary lacquer artists from South Korea. According to Professor Kim Sungsoo, who was voted character of the year in South Korea and is author of one third of the art works at the event, the exhibition promotes the use of natural materials for art.
He said Vietnamese artists can find natural lacquer paints in South Korea, and South Korean artists can also buy 100% lacquer paintings in Vietnam. The exhibition is a chance for Vietnamese and South Korean artists to exchange opinions, and discuss the difference between lacquer painting in the two countries.
