South Africa trade targets 2 billion USD

VTV.vn - Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh met South African Minister of International Relations and Co-operation Maite Nkoana-Mashabane on Thursday.

The two sides agreed to target increased bilateral trade of 2 billion USD a year and agreed on measures to achieve the target. Minister Pham Binh Minh asked South Africa to consider importing agricultural products, processed food, footwear, textiles and wooden furniture from Vietnam and proposed the two sides sign a memorandum of co-operation on minerals as well as create favorable conditions for the export of coal to Vietnam. Vietnam wants to welcome South African President Jacob Zuma to visit Vietnam in 2018 to commemorate the 25th anniversary of relations between the two countries.
