Songwriter Thanh Tung passes away

Famous songwriter Thanh Tung, who composed famous love songs including  Lối Cũ Ta Về (Returning to the Old Path), Một Mình (Lonely), ‘Trai tim khong ngu yen’ (Heart without deep slumber),  and  ‘Hat voi chu ve con’ (Singing with little cicada),  passed away on Tuesday in Hanoi.

He was a pioneer in Vietnam’s pop music evolution during the 1980s and 90s. In the following report, we take a look at his legacy and commemorate the musician.

Though he has passed away, the Vietnamese music industry will always remember him and his legacy, which brought a breath of fresh air to Vietnamese music.
