Song Da water company begins treatment for oil-contaminated water

The Sông Đà Water Investment Joint Stock Company, in collaboration with the Vietnam Environmental Incident Response Centre, have been carrying out the treatment of oil-contaminated water at the end of Bằng stream adjacent to Đầm Bài reservoir, as well as to the reservoir's surface water. Currently, this raw water source has been hugely affected by a number of factors, including water from Bằng stream, domestic wastewater from local residents, cattle, as well as frequent fishing activities. As a result, the Đà River water plant has been facing difficulties in controlling and assuring its source of safe water.
