Heavy rains are forecasted to expand to northern and northwestern mountainous provinces, especially in Vĩnh Phúc, Phú Thọ, Tuyên Quang, Yên Bái, and Sơn La. The precipitation will be between 100 and 200 milimetres per rain.
According to a report, more than 67,000 hectares of rice and crops have been inundated, which is about 23% of the farming area, with the most severely affected area being in Nam Định Province. The Directorate of Water Resources requested 31 provinces to operate all irrigation systems at full capacity to avoid inundation, and to not release water from resevoirs without prescheduling.
