Silver medal for ballet at Asia arts festival

VTV.vn - Vietnam’s only representative in the dance category won a silver medal at the 2018 Asia Arts Festival.

The performance of "Carmen" by young artists from the Hanoi Children's Art Center, surprised the judges and received many compliments for their expertise.

The 4-minute Carmen by Vietnamese dancers is one of the rare classical ballets at the festival which included more than 100 dances, mainly contemporary ballets from 14 countries including South Korea, the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, mainland China, Hong Kong, Britain and France.

Launched in 2013, the Asia Arts Festival is one of the largest arts events in the summer, organized and sponsored by the Singaporean government. This is an annual art contest for talented people from ages 6 to 80 from Asia. The 6th competition attracted participants from 14 countries.

Since 2013, AAF has provided a worthy platform for musicians and dancers from all genres to showcase their talents, skills and art forms before an illustrious panel of adjudicators.
