VTV.vn - Hanoi will begin a pilot program of three bus routes using Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) August 1, according to the city’s Department of Transport.

The three routes will use buses each with a carrying capacity of fifty passengers. Route No.1 will connect My Dinh and Son Tay bus stations. Route No.2 will run between Yen Nghia and Dang Xa urban areas. Route No.3 has the route from the Central Tropical Hospital 2 to Times City and vice versa.

Buses will run every 15-20 minutes with fares from VND7,000 to VND9,000.

CNG does not adversely affect human health or the environment when compared with other fuels. CNG is cheaper so it can help reduce production costs.
