Shrimp exports likely to rebound in first half of 2016
VTV.vn - The export value of shrimp in the second quarter will reach over US$780 million, representing a year-on-year increase of 10%, the Vietnam Association of Seafood Producers and Exporters (Vasep) forecasts.

Russia and China are still considered the major markets while local exports to the United States (US) and the European Union (EU) will also be higher because of lower inventory in those markets.

However, VASEP is concerned that, with both tariff and non-tariff barriers and a number of trade remedies imposed by the importing countries, export turnover of Vietnam's shrimp in the third and fourth quarter will be negatively affected.
