Reaching 3.1 billion USD in the first 11 months of 2017, the country's vegetable and fruits export value saw the highest growth among all exported products and a 43% surge over the same period in 2016. This export growth rate is also higher than the rice industry's - one of the key export sectors of Vietnam. Experts say that Vietnam has a lot of potential for increasing the commercial value and market of the fruit sector. It is expected that this year, fruit export turnover will reach more than 3.5 billion USD, an impressive achievement in the last 10 years. Surpassing rice and seafood, the fruit sector is quickly becoming Vietnam's new strength in agricultural exports.
