The call was made while he addressed the standing board of the Central Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption at a meeting in Hanoi on Monday. S
peaking at the event, the leader, who is also head of the committee, said that central and local agencies have been striving to speed up the investigation, prosecution, and trial of the cases. The relevant agencies have finished dealing with 13 cases and 24 incidents, have launched probes into 10 new cases and have resumed 7 other investigations.
They've also seized suspected assets, blocked accounts and prevented transactions worth over 432.3 million USD. Towards the end of this year, they have to finish probing into six cases, prosecute five cases, open first-instance trials for 11 cases, hold appeal trials on two others, and complete the verification of 17 incidents.
