VTV.vn - The Academy of Journalism and Communication (AJC) and the Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) jointly held a knowledge-sharing event on September 16 on using social media to build personal brands.

The event was also broadcast via video links to other locations in Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia, as part of a knowledge-sharing forum among the three countries.

At the seminar, the speakers talked about how to use social networking sites responsibly and appropriately for building personal brands amid the information boom.

They stated that social media can be used as a tool to create personal images, but individuals should be fully aware of its benefits and risks.

The seminar also featured a session about climate change and gender equality.

KOICA Vietnam Director Cho Han-Deog said that sharing knowledge is an important tool to connect the concerned parties and discuss how to work out solutions to issues that are of significance to all.

For his part, AJC Director Pham Minh Son stated that knowledge is the foundation and motivation for personal progress and social development.

The seminar is part of a series of cooperation activities between the AJC and KOICA for 2022.
