This is a result of five years of research. The vaccines produced by Vietnam have met the quality standards of the World Health Organization (WHO).
Vietnamese seasonal flu vaccines prevent three types of influenza, namely A/H1N1, A/H3N2, and influenza B. The institute has proposed the Ministry of Health allow the flu vaccine production line to operate at a scale of 1.5 million doses per year, and be conducted on a large scale.
If licensed, the vaccines will be sold for 3 to 5 USD per dose, about one third of the price of imported seasonal flu vaccines. The seasonal vaccines were tested on 880 thousand people.
