On August 8, 2022, Vietnam Television, in collaboration with the State Bank of Vietnam, held the launch of season 2 of "The Key Box" program. This is a show on financial education produced by the Department of Science and Education - Vietnam Television and the Department of Communications - State Bank of Vietnam and will air this August.
Participating in the press conference from the side of Vietnam Television were Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Hien, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Television; Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Hoa, Deputy Head of the Department of Science and Education; from the side of the State Bank of Vietnam were Mr. Nguyen Kim Anh, Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam, Ms. Le Thi Thuy Sen, Director of the Communications Department - State Bank of Vietnam; representatives of leading departments of the State Bank of Vietnam and the program sponsors.
After its first broadcast in May 2021, the program "The Key Box" has attracted a lot of attention from the audience, is one of the programs with the highest ratings on VTV1 and received many positive comments from the audience.
This is a program on how to use banking and financial products, such as payment through internet banking, mobile banking, payment of utilities through banks, tips for using cards; access to official sources of credit.
In season 2 of the program, "The Key Box" will address the issues that concern the people such as: Decree 31 and Circular 03, policies to support people after the pandemic of COVID-19, new forms of payment based on digital technology, digital banking, tips for opening saving account, thereby, minimizing usury, promoting non-cash payments, ensuring security and minimizing risks for users of financial services.
Sharing at the press conference, Ms. Le Thi Thuy Sen, Director of the Communications Department of the State Bank of Vietnam, said, "Banking and finance is a highly specialized field, so communication activities often face difficulties. However, with the rich and creative expressions of Vietnam's TV production teams, financial education programs on TV are now well received by the public.
Statistics from the National Credit Information Center (CIC) show that after the broadcast of the program, the number of new opened in August 2021 increased by 30% over the previous month; the average number of loan registered by the CIC Portal per day increased by nearly 28%. Cashless payment, along with banking industry solutions, electronic payment service has grown rapidly." Therefore, Ms. Thuy Sen is looking forward to the upcoming cooperation in season 2 of the program.
Sharing at the launch, Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Hoa, deputy director of the Department of Science and Education of Vietnam Television, said, "The production of the program "The Key Box" is closely coordinated between the Department of Communication - The State Bank of Vietnam and the production team of the Department of Science and Education. In this second season, we will continue to investigate new approaches, integrating everyday life situations to make the lessons of finance and banking more understandable and accessible, helping the program reach closer to the mass audience."
During the production and broadcast of season 2, the production team will also strengthen communication to the target audience, which are the youth, women, the poor, workers, and the people in rural and remote areas and disadvantaged groups of society.
In terms of form, the program will continue to use info-graphics and process visualization. At the same time, the character lines in season 2 of the program will be expanded to include Generation Z people. The language and dialogue will be modern and more youth-friendly.
The program "The Key Box" season 2 will broadcast the first episode at 20:55 on August 12, 2022 on VTV1 channel. Viewers can watch the program on VTV's digital platforms.
