The Vietnamese Embassy in South Korea has sent its staff to the coastal city of Tongmyeong to send their condolences to the Vietnamese fishermen’s families / and to work with local police to search for victims.
Tongmyeong’s authorities have organized places for the families to stay and / arranged transportation so they can travel to the city council office for updates.
According to the city's authorities, the marine police are in charge of search efforts / and are providing updates on the progress and results of the search to the fishermen’s families twice a day. The search team has asked Japanese and Chinese marine police to support the efforts.
