SCGP, in collaboration with SCG, Bien Hoa Packaging Joint Stock Company (SOVI), Duy Tan Plastics Manufacturing Corporation (Duy Tan), and Tin Thanh Packing Joint Stock Company (BATICO), officially announced the results of SCGP Packaging Design Challenge Vietnam 2021. Under the theme “Enhance Your Creativity”, the contest honors outstanding designs of university students across the country while pushing boundaries in the packaging industry.
The SCGP Packaging Design Challenge Vietnam 2021 called for submission from 01/09/2021 to 15/10/2021 and attracted 188 contestants from 16 universities nationwide and 87 excellent ideas in 3 categories (Sales Promoting Packaging Design, Transportation Packaging Design, and Environmentally-Friendly Packaging Design).
“Held in Vietnam for the first time, the SCGP Packaging Design Challenge Vietnam 2021 received a great welcome from many students who are excited to express their out-of-the-box thinking and contribute to the development of Vietnam's packaging industry. The contest is in line with SCGP’s mission of supporting growth in the packaging design community and the young talents who are the foundation of it. We hope that via the SCGP Packaging Design Challenge Vietnam 2021, the young generation will exchange their knowledge and promote cooperation in developing the packaging design industry in Vietnam”, Mr. Sompob Witworrasakul, Chief Regional Officer, SCGP said.
All the guests, judges and finalists gathered at the end of final round
After a rigorous evaluation, the panel of judges composed of creative design professionals and SCGP's specialists have selected the 9 best entries to advance to the online Final Round. Besides, the 9 selected excellent teams had the opportunity to meet with SCGP's professional design team for further advice on improving their passionate and creative quality designs. Devoting great care and attention to details while assessing each entry, the jury panel finally honored The Best of Challenge Award for team GEM team L’ESPOIR and team UlLAGOD in accordance with 03 categories of Sales Promoting Packaging Design, Transportation Packaging Design and Environmentally-Friendly Packaging Design.
While all 9 projects are built for practical needs in daily life, the outstanding initiatives from team GEM team L’ESPOIR and team UlLAGOD successfully convinced the panel of judges by a very distinctive design concept and a vivid and exquisite presentation. The teams showed their understanding and creativity by taking the advantage of materials used and optimizing user experiences for their projects.

As a member of the jury panel, Mr. Tran Quang Tung (Tung Juno) - Director of Gam7 and Rio Creative shared: “It's difficult to choose the best works as they are of almost equal quality and accurately reflect the potential of the creativeness in the packaging design industry. I would like to thank SCGP for this meaningful contest which offered a chance for the young to explore and showcase their talent as well as to better prepare for the future”.
With the value this contest has brought to the students as well as the packaging design industry, SCGP will continue to innovate and develop many meaningful playgrounds in the future for young talented Vietnamese people who can also contribute to the prosperity of the country.
