After the registration round, the North was the first of the three regions to hold the regional qualifier round. Accordingly, the Preliminary Northern Round will take place in 3 days, from 26 to 28 July 2022.
According to the representative of the organizing board, in the application phase, there were hundreds of candidates registered for the contest in the northern region and after reviewing and verifying the documents submitted, the organizers of Sao Mai 2022 selected 105 candidates to compete in the preliminaries.
"Compared to previous seasons in this region, this year's number of contestants is higher," said a representative of the Sao Mai 2022 Organizing Committee in the North.
On July 26 and 27, 105 candidates selected in the first preliminary round entered the audition phase, of them, 36 candidates will be selected to the second preliminary round on July 28.
After the audition of 36 candidates on July 28, the 2nd preliminary round will end and the organizers will announce the list of 18 candidates selected to participate in the North Regional Qualifier.
According to the Organizing Committee, the qualifying round for the North region will be held on August 1 at S14 Studio, Vietnam Television.
