VTV.vn - Having yet to log any cases of monkeypox, Ho Chi Minh City is still urging local health facilities to promptly implement prevention and control measures for the viral zoonosis.

Accordingly, the Health Department of the country's biggest metropolis has requested its Centre for Disease Control and Prevention to quickly screen arrivals by air and waterways for early detection of suspected cases by monitoring body temperature and acute bullous rash symptoms.

Health facilities at all levels, meanwhile, have been asked to step up communications activities to raise public awareness of suspected symptoms.

When receiving suspected cases, it is a must for hospitals to conduct screening and separate the patients.
