VTV.vn - The Sam Mountain Tourist Resort in Châu Đốc City, An Giang Province, has just been classified as a national tourist site, becoming one of the 47 national tourist sites in the country.

Sam Mountain is nearly 300 metres tall and covers an area of about 280 hectares. The resort has 200 temples, pagodas, and shrines located on the mountain's foot, slopes, and peak. Some pagodas are two centuries old.

Some of the most famous constructions at the tourist site are Bà Chúa Xứ Temple, Tây An Pagoda, Thoại Ngọc Hầu Tomb, and Phước Điền Pagoda. There are also beautiful landscapes such as Bạch Vân Hill and Tao Ngộ Garden.

The province's department of culture, sports, and tourism is proposing policies to develop tourism on the Sam Mountain Tourist site until 2025, with visions looking forward towards 2030.
