This March, television audiences will be introduced to a brand-new program titled S-Tech - Tech Waves. With its innovative format, the show aims to make technology far more understandable by turning abstract concepts into relatable, real-life experiences.
Touch and Understand
Each 25-30 minute episode, S-Tech - Tech Waves is structured into three dynamic segments that combine hands-on experiences, in-depth insights, human stories, and interactive elements. In Part 1 - Tech Touch, viewers accompany young reporters as they experience the latest technological products and services in real-world settings. From unboxing smart devices and test-driving electric vehicles to exploring high-tech laboratories and digital services, the segment answers practical questions such as what the product does, how it works, and whether it is worth using.
Part 2 - Story Tech focuses on explaining the nature, trends, and impact of technology in a way that steers clear of heavy, “textbook-style” explanations. It explores the origins of technologies, their core principles, cross-industry applications, Vietnam’s position in the global tech landscape, and future predictions.
The final segment, Street Tech Challenge, features lively interactions as reporters engage passers-by in quick quizzes on the street, in schools, and industrial zones. Those who correctly answer two out of three rapid-fire questions about technology, digital skills, or public services receive small rewards.
According to the production team, “S-Tech - Tech Waves is where technology becomes a vivid part of daily life, production, and national development, rather than remaining distant. We don’t present technology in a dry way, we experience, analyze, and challenge it”.
Highlight from Real Experience and Interaction
A key highlight of the program is the way it seamlessly blends a technology magazine format with real-life experience, and audience interaction. The show adopts first-person (POV) camera angles and a vlog-style approach to capture genuine user reactions. Visually, it stands out thanks to its modern motion graphics and intuitive hologram effects.
As well as showcasing the technology, the program also recognizes Vietnamese innovators, including startup founders, engineers, and scientists who quietly contribute to the country’s technological progress. This not only encourages innovation but also fosters pride in the “Make in Vietnam” movement.
Rather than being just a technology news show, S-Tech - Tech Waves serves as a bridge between the complex world of technology and everyday life. It delivers a clear message: “Technology is not distant. Technology is our story”. Through simple, engaging interactive segments, the program also creates a platform that connects policymakers, tech developers, and the public. This helps assess public understanding of digital policies while presenting them in an accessible and memorable way.
To enhance its youthful, modern appeal, the show will feature young hosts with in-depth knowledge of technology who can engage with artificial intelligence (AI), alongside notable personalities and tech KOLs.
S-Tech - Tech Waves will air on VTV2 this March. Viewers are invited to tune in.
