The underground section of about 4 km will be put into operation by the end of 2022. Robots using Italian technology have been used for this project. The robot is 100 meters long and weighs about 850 tons. The robot operates at a depth of 21-22 meters. The machines have also been used for the Ben Thanh-Suoi Tien metro project in HCM City.
Nhon-Hanoi Station metro project is 12 kilometers long has 12 stations, including four underground.
Kicked off in 2010, the project has been rescheduled for completion in 2022 after failing to meet its previous 2017 deadline.
