The competition featured four contestants: Nguyen Gia Hung (Kon Tum High School), Nguyen Pham Dang Quang (Le Quy Don High School, Hanoi), Hoang Cong Nguyen (Thai Binh Specialized High School), and Hong Thien (Ha Tinh Specialized High School).
After the Individual Warm-Up round, Hong Thien led with 40 points, while Gia Hung scored the lowest with 10 points. Building on this advantage, Hong Thien ended the round with 45 points.
In the Overcome Obstacle round, none of the contestants were able to answer the first two horizontal clues. Only Cong Nguyen answered the third clue correctly. With the fourth clue revealed, two puzzle pieces were unlocked, allowing Gia Hung to ring the bell , correctly solve the main keyword and moved into the lead.
The Speed-up round provided contestants with the opportunity to rapidly increase their scores. Hong Thien excelled and rose to the top with 165 points. He stated that he had made full use of his advantages. Meanwhile, Dang Quang had the lowest score at 75 points, while Gia Hung and Cong Nguyen followed closely, with Cong Nguyen at 140.
In the Finish round, Hong Thien went first, choosing a set of three 20-point questions, but failed to answer any of them. Next was Cong Nguyen, who chose a 20–30–20 point package. He scored on the first question and briefly took the lead, but Hong Thien soon reclaimed it.
The remaining contestants, Gia Hung and Dang Quang, did not gain much ground. In a surprising turn, Cong Nguyen seized points from his opponents and made a robust comeback. In the end, the laurel wreath of this week’s Road to Olympia Mount went to the schoolboy from Thai Binh Specialized High School with a total of 210 points.
