This week’s match featured four contestants: Nguyen Thi Hai Nhan (Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted, Quang Tri); Nguyen Quoc Khoi Nguyen (Hoang Van Thu High School, Hanoi); Huynh Chi Vy (Tay Nam High School, Ho Chi Minh City); and Ngo Hieu Lam (Kien An High School, Hai Phong).
In the Individual Warm-up round, Hai Nhan scored 50 points. Khoi Nguyen and Chi Vy each had 40 points, while Hieu Lam 30. After the General Warm-up round, Hai Nhan continued to deliver correct answers, raising her score to 80 points. The other three contestants saw little change, with Chi Vy at 40 points, Khoi Nguyen at 35 points, and Hieu Lam at 30 points.
In the Overcome Obstacle round, the contestants faced a 15-letter keyword. All four contestants correctly answered two horizontal clues to reveal puzzle pieces, but none could identify the key keyword. On the third horizontal clue, Hai Nhan rang the bell to answer the obstacle, but unfortunately, her answer was incorrect, forcing her to pause in this round.
A member of the audience from Quang Tri ultimately provided the correct answer. The scores after the Overcome Obstacle round were as follows: Hai Nhan (100 points), Chi Vy (70 points), Hieu Lam (60 points), and Khoi Nguyen (55 points).
In the Speed-up round, all four contestants saw it as a chance to boost their scores. Notably, Hai Nhan set a goal to surpass 200 points. She achieved this goal with fast and accurate responses, finishing the round with 220 points and taking the lead. Khoi Nguyen remained in last place with 85 points, while Chi Vy had 100 points and Hieu Lam had 110 points.
As the contestant with the highest score, Hai Nhan entered the Finish round first, choosing the 20-30-20 point question set. She answered the 30-point question correctly and placed her Star of Hope on the final question. Though she was visibly nervous when answering, she succeeded. With her correct response on the Star of Hope question, Hai Nhan temporarily completed the Finish round with 290 points.
Hieu Lam selected the set of three 20-point questions, placing her Star of Hope on the third question after answering the first two incorrectly. However, she was unable to give the correct answer and ended the round with 70 points.
Chi Vy also chose the three 20-point question sets. He answered two out of three questions correctly, finishing with 130 points. Meanwhile, Khoi Nguyen, chose the 20-20-30 point set and placed his Star of Hope on the 30-point question. He unexpectedly raised his score to 185 points and moved up to second place. As a result, Hai Nhan claimed the laurel wreath on this week’s Road to Olympia Mount , with a total score of 300 points.
