In December 2025, the Take Off Gala returns, marking the close of a year filled with change, emotion and hope. Over the past year, Take Off has shared stories of perseverance and aspiration with audiences, showcasing individual journeys that contribute to the shared goal of building a strong and sustainable Vietnam.
In 2025, at its usual time, 8:10 PM on the third Saturday of each month, a special flight took off again on VTV1. Though there is no engine noise or visible runway, it has the power to carry Vietnamese ideas, aspirations, and people far and high. That is the Take Off program.
Throughout 2025, Take Off has continued its steady journey, one that does not seek noise or spectacle but instead chooses values, knowledge, and life inspiration as its fuel. Guests from diverse fields, including science and technology, education, culture, healthcare and innovation have joined this flight. They do not come on air to boast about their success; they come to share the paths that led to it, including the doubts, setbacks, and difficult choices along the way.
What makes Take Off in 2025 special is not the stage lighting, but the program’s trust in its speakers and independent thinking, creativity, and social responsibility. Take Off does not promote unrealistic dreams. It tells stories of carefully prepared dreams, built on knowledge, discipline, and a spirit of commitment. After each episode, many viewers continue to reflect on the content. Many young people begin new projects. Many quiet but firm journeys take shape.
The Take Off Gala, themed “Returning to Fly Higher”, will be a special program that brings together guests and speakers who have helped shape Take Off throughout the year in a warm and dignified setting. At the same time, the gala will share inspiring stories of Vietnamese individuals who have overcome obstacles and barriers to achieve admirable accomplishments.
“Every year, I am deeply moved when producing the year-end Gala, because itgives me the opportunity to reconnect with the speakers we admire," said Hong Viet, editor of the Features & Science-Education Department of Vietnam Television. “I am always grateful that, despite their busy lives, they have come to our stage to share their stories, inspiring us, and millions of television viewers, to love, and to contribute to the community and learn. They have crossed successes, surpassed limits and achieved new milestones”.
According to the production team, for the first time, a song written by viewers especially for Take Off will be performed on the main stage, along with major surprises from the program’s guest lineup.
