The competition featured four contestants from different provinces across Vietnam: Can Gia Bao (Hoang Van Thu High School for the Gifted, Phu Tho), Nguyen Thi Thanh Ngan (Hoang Quoc Viet High School, Quang Ninh), Nguyen Minh Tai (Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted, Gia Lai), and Tran Hoang Minh Chau (Luong The Vinh High School, Quang Tri).
In the first Individual Warm-up round, the contestants delivered fairly balanced performances. Gia Bao and Thanh Ngan each scored 30 points, while Minh Tai and Minh Chau each earned 40 points.
After the General Warm-up round, the scoreboard shifted. Gia Bao had 15 points, Thanh Ngan 20 points, Minh Tai led with 75 points, and Minh Chau stood at 40 points.
In the Overcome Obstacle round, which featured a six-letter keyword, Minh Tai quickly rang the bell immediately after the first puzzle piece was revealed and answered: “xe dien” (electric vehicle). The correct answer boosted his total score to 145, firmly placing him in the lead. At that moment, Gia Bao had 15 points, Thanh Ngan 30 points, and Minh Chau 50 points.
The Speed-up round gave the contestants a chance to dramatically increase their scores, and all four competitors seized the opportunity in a tense showdown. Notably, Gia Bao delivered an impressive performance, securing the maximum 160 points in this round, raising his total to 160. After the round concluded, Minh Tai remained in the lead with 225 points, becoming the first to advance to the decisive Finish round. Gia Bao followed with 175 points, Minh Chau had 110 points, and Thanh Ngan had 60.
Minh Tai entered the Finish round with the highest score and chose a set of three 20-point questions, but he failed to score on any of them. On the second question, he lost points to Thanh Ngan, who correctly seized the opportunity to answer.
Next came Gia Bao’s Finish round. Trailing the leader by only 30 points, he selected a 20-30-20 question set. Gia Bao answered both 20-point questions correctly, bringing his total to 215 points and putting him in the lead.
With 100 points, Minh Chau entered the final round and selected three 30-point questions. However, she was unable to answer any of them correctly. Gia Bao quickly rang the belland gave the correct answer, gaining an additional 30 points, further strengthening his lead.
Thanh Ngan was the last contestant to enter the Finish round, selecting three 20-point questions. She failed to answer the first two correctly, allowing Gia Bao to ring the bell for a chance to answer. Gia Bao answered only the first one correctly. Thanh Ngan eventually earned 20 points on the final question, concluding her round.
At the end of the competition, Can Gia Bao claimed the laurel wreath with 255 points. Minh Tai finished second with 190 points, followed by Thanh Ngan with 80 points and Minh Chau with 70 points.
